ShoppingGives is excited to welcome The Nora Project, our newest fundraiser – and friend – to our site!

The Nora Project has kicked the month off with a bang, launching not only their ShoppingGives fundraiser but a full calendar of incredible friendship activities and challenges for #FriendshipFebruary!

The Nora Project’s mission is to teach empathy by sparking friendships between students and their peers with disabilities through teaching differing perspectives, creating opportunities for social inclusion of children with complex medical needs and disabilities, and building communities of support and kindness. Each event on their Friendship February calendar gives everyone a chance to build their own friendship skills and to show others they care.

“The Nora Project is always looking for ways to help our supporters and participants connect with and have a positive impact on others,” said Executive Director and Nora’s Mom, Lauren Schrero.  “Our partnership with ShoppingGives not only helps us raise funds to reach more classrooms and children with disabilities but also helps us support the missions of other organizations working to make the world a better place.”

The Nora Project’s core curriculum is a year-long in-school program that blends academic content with an exploration of character and ethics, providing a well-rounded approach to student growth and achievement. Throughout the year, The Nora Project supplements the program with additional fun and growth activities like Friendship February.
